You can trust our Holiday Action Team to help you with any questions you have. Here are some of the more frequently asked.
How do I book?

-
STEP 1
Read the information for your chosen holiday and decide which course(s) you would like to attend.
-
STEP 2
Click the 'Book Now' button and follow the instructions. Please ensure you book your child into the correct age group.
-
STEP 3
If using a debit card to pay the fees, you must pay at the time of booking. If paying using childcare vouchers, please type in the voucher company you are using and select 'Add.'
Voucher payment must then be transferred within 5 days to secure your place. Voucher codes will be on the confirmation email once a booking has been completed. If paying by tax free childcare please follow the same process.
Please include your booking reference (e.g. REF-123456-ABC) as the reference when making your voucher or TFC booking.
-
STEP 4
You will receive a confirmation of your place via email. Please then send a screenshot confirmation of the childcare voucher payment transfer to Gary Thorne within 5 days: G.Thorne@warwickschools.co.uk
What should my child bring?

-
Please bring all inhalers, Epi-pens or any other medication in a clear, sealed, labelled bag and hand in to the Community Activities team upon arrival. If medication is required please complete the appropriate form under 'Medical' in our Additional information area. This must be handed in on your child's first day of attendance.
-
Please bring plenty to drink (a refillable water bottle is recommended), a packed lunch*, snack* and a coat for playtime.
-
Please ensure that your child arrives dressed suitably for the weather - layers are always a good idea, including a hoodie or jumper, plus a waterproof coat in the event of rain.
-
We recommend that children wear comfortable clothing that they can wear for the whole day, e.g. sportswear and trainers, and do not bring any extra clothes with them.
-
If your child would like to swim, then please bring a swimming costume and towel (goggles are optional). Children will need to be able to swim at least 1 width of a recognised stroke (not doggy paddle) to be allowed to take part. If your child is not a confident swimmer, then flotation aids can be provided. Our lifeguards will have the final say on whether children will be allowed to swim.
-
If you would like your child to take part in wall climbing, then please ensure they arrive with clothes that cover their knees and elbows and trainers or sports shoes (please no short shorts, skirts, or unsuitable footwear such as flip-flops, crocs, etc.)
Are mobile phones allowed?
-
Mobile Phones are not permitted at Holiday Action for safeguarding reasons.
-
This applies to all year groups, including Years 6, 7, 8 and Action Plus too.
-
If a child needs to contact home, for any reason, they should inform Holiday Action Management and we will do so on their behalf.
Can I get a refund should I need to cancel?
-
Refunds are only given on production of a doctor's note, or if a cancellation is made within 14 days of your booking being placed.
Do I need to provide lunch for my child?
-
Please provide a packed lunch and drinks for your child if they are booked in all day.
-
For any queries please contact Holiday Action on 01926 735 473.
My child doesn't know anyone attending - Can they have a buddy?
-
Although most children make friends quickly and easily we run a successful ‘buddy’ system for children who are concerned about attending alone. Please inform us if you would like your child to have a buddy, quoting your child’s name.
What activities will be available?
-
A list of available activities can be found on the website. Please be aware that activities are subject to change at our discretion and may be limited by numbers, age or weather. If you DO NOT wish your child to participate in a particular activity please advise us in writing at the time of booking. Core activities are run every day, with additional bonus activities (Included in the cost) on various days. If your child attends for 3 or more days in a week they will get a really good choice of activities. Children have 6 sessions every day!
Can I book extra days?
-
Yes - subject to availability. Please book via the website (you will not have to complete the form again fully as the system will have saved your details). Places will be confirmed by an email receipt.
What lunch should I bring?
-
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. Please note Warwick School does not provide a fridge. Please see below for more information:
-
Sandwich fillings, particularly salads, raw vegetables, cooked meats, eggs etc are perfect breeding grounds for harmful bacteria such as E.coli. The extent of handling involved in preparing lunches also increases the risk of contamination. While your lunchbox is stored at room temperature, harmful bacteria can multiply rapidly. Warm conditions from central heating in winter and high temperatures in summer are ideal for bacteria to flourish. To help prevent food poisoning follow the advice below:
-
Parents should:
-
Put sandwiches in a plastic bag in the fridge overnight
-
Get a fridge thermometer to check that it is cool enough. It should be below 5 degrees
-
Pack the lunch in a small insulated bag with an ice pack on top or get one of the lunch boxes with an ice pack included
-
Freeze a small carton of fruit juice or a plastic bottle of still water if you do not have an ice-pack. The children can then drink this at lunch time. Leave a space at the top of the bottle and freeze with the bottle upright. Don't freeze fizzy drinks, they may explode.
-
Use lower risk foodstuffs if you are not confident that the lunch will be kept cool (E.g. Hard cheese). Keep the packed lunch away from direct heat and sunlight.
-
Important Information!
-
We are a nut free site!
-
Please do not bring any food containing nuts onto the site (including Nutella, hazelnut spread, chicken satay and pesto sauce).
-
Please ensure grapes and cherry tomatoes are cut in half to avoid choking hazard.
*please note there is no fridge available.
Where does lots property go?
-
We will endeavour to return items marked with a name and telephone number. It is not advisable for children to bring valuables with them. Any unmarked items will be held in the Community Activities office for a reasonable amount of time, after this they will be donated to a local charity shop.
What options are there for early drop off and late collection?
-
